Join the Texas Lyceum for their Optional Meeting:
"Look for the Helpers: Disaster Response and Recovery in Texas"

June 3-5, 2026, hosted in San Juan, Puerto Rico

When disaster strikes Texas—whether hurricane, wildfire, freeze, or flood—coordination and speed make all the difference. This June, the Texas Lyceum brings together the experts and decision-makers shaping how we prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.

Why Attend

Texas faces escalating disaster risks. Our Summer Conference examines critical challenges and breakthrough solutions—from public/private partnerships and emergency communications to infrastructure resilience and cross-sector coordination. You'll gain:

  1. Actionable insights from public and private infrastructure, policy, and communications leaders

  2. Real-world lessons from Texas and Puerto Rican disaster response experts

  3. Strategic connections with partners who are strengthening resilience across our state

  4. Best practices for faster response and stronger recovery when a crisis hits

Why San Juan

Puerto Rico's hard-won expertise in disaster recovery offers a unique backdrop for our 2026 Optional meeting. And the timing couldn't be better: extend your stay and turn this conference into the summer getaway you've been planning.

Bring your family or enjoy an adults-only time for a few extra days exploring El Morro fortress, kayaking nearby bioluminescent bays, or relaxing on golden-sand beaches. Between sessions, you're steps away from historic Old San Juan's cobblestone streets, world-class Caribbean cuisine, and sunset views that make this the perfect way to kick off summer. This is your chance to invest in Texas's resilience while creating unforgettable memories in one of the Caribbean's most beautiful destinations.

Join us June 3-5 for conversations that will shape Texas's future in one of the Caribbean's most captivating destinations.
