Traveling to Big Bend
Do not underestimate the travel time to Big Bend. We encourage you to make your travel arrangements as soon as possible.
Drive time by city to Lajitas Resort:
Houston: 10 hours
Austin: 8 hours
El Paso: 4.5 hours
San Antonio: 7.5 hours
Dallas/Fort Worth: 9.75 hours
Midland: 4.25 hours
There are several travel options to Lajitas Golf Resort:
- Drive with friends: Gather a group of Lyceum attendees from your area to carpool or rent a bus to ride together.
- Fly Commercial: The closest airport to Big Bend is the Midland Airport. The Lajitas Golf Resort is 4.5 hours from Midland Airport.
- Chartered Plane: Resort Air Services operates out of Dallas, Texas and provides non-stop private air charter to remote destinations. They provide service from Dallas, San Antonio, Houston or other Texas locations. They currently offer service to Lajitas Golf Resort and can accommodate groups of up to 30 passengers on their Embraer FJ-135 aircraft (Dallas Love Field) or Bombardier CRJ 200 out of Houston (Sugar Land Regional).
