Workforce 101, Tuesday September 22nd
2:30pm - 3:30pm

America needs to build a workforce and talent system that is flexible, adaptable, and resilient enough to support people and meet what comes next.

Join the Texas Lyceum for a virtual "Workforce 101" primer ahead of the Q3 Conference in Sherman, Texas.

Register to Workforce 101

We will be joined by Lyceum Alumni Molly Quirk (Class of 2018 and Chairman 2025) and Thomas Miranda (Class of 2016) who chaired the 2019 Texas Lyceum Public Conference on the topic of the "Texas 2036 Workforce" to share the key topics that were discussed and how Texas has implemented these ideas over the past seven years.

We will also hear from the Honorable Margaret Spellings (Class of 1996), President and CEO of the Bipartisan Policy Center who will be interviewed by Larry Peterson (Class of 1997 and  Chairman 2003) who will discuss recommendations from the report of the Commission on the American Workforce.  Our economy cannot grow without an educated, prepared, and supported workforce. The Bipartisan Policy Center's Commission on the American Workforce has been working to meet this human capital crisis head on by identifying bipartisan solutions that better connect education, workforce, postsecondary and worker supports to form a comprehensive national talent strategy.
